Carlingford Nursing Home is registered for 44 residents of which 31 are accommodated in single rooms with the balance in 5 two bedded rooms. There is also one high dependency three bedded room.
The home is single storey and designed around a central area which includes the Nurses’ Station, our sitting rooms and the dining room.
Whilst all of our rooms are fully furnished, we do encourage residents to bring with them whatever furniture and artefacts they wish to ensure that they make their rooms as comfortable and as homely as possible.
With the exception of 1 all of our rooms have en-suite facilities with floor level showers. In addition we have a fully serviced bathroom for those residents who prefer baths
We have 3 sitting rooms, a large chapel, a visitor’s room, a treatment room and a smoking room for our residents. All of the facilities provided for our residents are ‘wheel-chair friendly’.
The building surrounds a large enclosed and fully secure garden, which is constantly used by our residents for short daily walks and relaxing to the sound of the fountain when our Irish weather permits.
The full range of medical care equipment is available at the home, from electric profiling beds and pressure relieving mattresses for the seriously infirmed to a fully monitored ‘nurse call’ system in all rooms. This system contains call location display boards in locations throughout the home to ensure that the reaction time of the staff to each call is consistently kept to a minimum.
For more information on our accommodation and your particular needs or preferences, please contact the home directly and we will be happy to help.
